How Does this help Kaufman County 4-H?

1. Our 4-H Volunteers ROCK!

Volunteers worked with over 12,000 youth and contributed 6,560 hours in volunteer work to the Youth of Kaufman County, either in the schools or in the 4-H program!  Amazon Smiles contributions will be used to help pay for training's and workshops to help our volunteers become the "Best they can Be!"

2. Our 4-H Youth are the Best!!

Contributions will also be used to support project workshops, leadership camps and educational opportunities.  This helps to build their leadership to pass on to the next generation of youth leaders.

3. Support the education in the classrooms!!

Curriculum Enrichment programs in the schools works with teacher to enhance their science and Ag in the Classroom programs to the youth of Kaufman County.

County Photography Project to meet at Samuels Farms this Sunday

Maykayla and Noah have a great day planned for the adventures at Samuels Farms with the photography project group.  They are meeting at 3 pm.  If you would like to know more about the photography.

They will be going on a photography scavenger hunt on Sunday, September 24th, from 3-5, at Samuel Farms in Mesquite (100 US-80, Mesquite, TX 75149).The topics for the scavenger hunt will be photography categories for the Kaufman County Fair and you could chose to enter the pictures you take at the meeting into the fair. The purpose of this meeting is to have hands on time with your camera and start preparing for the fair.This should be a really fun meeting! We hope to see all of you there.

Kaufman County 4-H Major Show Entry Night

Thursday, November 2nd
4:00 - 6:00 pm
County Extension Office
Notary will be on hand for HLSR Entries


If you plan on exhibiting your livestock
project at Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, or San Angelo you must turn in your entry paperwork by Thursday, November 2nd. After November 2nd, all late entries incur a
$25 late fee per show.

All Exhibitors must bring their
Quality Counts
Number and Social Security Numbers to
Entry Night.

The Extension Office will process Junior Show Entries.
