Panhandle Showdown steer and heifer show

Steer and Heifer Show August 2nd . The show will be North West of Hereford or 3 miles south of Brian Martin Cattle Co. at the Barn Church. There will be a short clinic before the show, great prizes, and 3 sanctioned shows (2 steer, 1 heifer) buckles, and prizes for champions and breed champions.

2014/2015 Major Stock Show Order Deadlines

2014 State Fair of Texas broiler orders due June 30. Turkey orders for 2015 Houston, San Antonio and Austin shows are due July 14. Orders must be mailed to the Poultry Extension office and post marked by the due date. All rules, information and order forms are available on the Poultry Extension website at http://posc.tamu.edu/texas-agrilife-poultry-extension-specialists/youth-programs/ .

Jr. Steer Show

* Exhibitors will be responsible for weighing their own steers. The top two (2) places in each class will be re-weighed. Any steer weighing more than 5% above its turned-in weight will be disqualified. Third (3rd) place will be reweighed if necessary
