National Contest Qualifying Entry Deadline TODAY!! July 6th.

The deadline to enter the 2020 VIRTUAL NATIONAL QUALIFYING CONTEST OPPORTUNITIES is Monday, July 6 at 11:59 pm. There will be NO LATE entries accepted because we have to prepare for the virtual contest based on the entry information.

As a reminder, as stated in the overall Contest Guidelines there are CONTEST PROCTORING REQUIREMENTS which state that Youth will compete in each contest on certain days, during a set time which varies by contest. The 4-H member will compete from a county office location and be proctored during the contest by an extension employee. 4-H volunteers will not be allowed to proctor the contests. Due to local restrictions related to COVID-19, should this be an issue, please notify your DEA as soon as possible. The Texas 4-H Office will be working with the DEAs, on a case by case basis, should youth be entered in contests which are from counties that may not be allowed into the county offices due to COVID-19 restrictions.

As a reminder the following contest will be conducted on the following dates. We realize there may be conflicts in schedule including some of our 4-H events, however for the integrity of the contest we feel the proctoring requirements are necessary. Should a 4-H member not be at their respective county and arrangements be made with another county office to facilitate the contest, then we can work on those on a case by case basis. If you have not done so already, please notify jcbarrett@ag.tamu.edu of those situations by Monday, July 6th.

All contest specific details are posted with the exception of those noted below. We apologize for the delay. The contest will mirror to the best of our ability a typical contest, therefore the modifications should not impact the 4-H members decision to participate. Remember, everyone will be in the same situation as we move to a virtual delivery for contest content.
