Events and opportunities

GLOBE 2022/23

Global Leadership Opportunities Beyond Education, GLOBE, is a multi-faceted program for 4-H members in grades 7-11. GLOBE prepares 4-H youth to step out of their comfort zone and see the world from a different perspective. GLOBE is a year-long program where youth participate in tow educational programs, held November 11-13, 2022, and January 14, 2023, and four online webinars. Participants are required to make two educational presentations and to provide leadership for a service-learning project in their community. GLOBE's final activity, a week-long immersive program in Costa Rica June 25-July 1, 2023, brings it all together for those that have completed all of the previously mentioned components.

Applications for the various GLOBE programs are now open through October 10th but limited to 25 youth, so encourage your youth to apply now! Find the information packet attached to this email. Click here to learn more and apply.

 Fall Paper Clover Campaign

It's time to encourage your communities to give back to 4-H through the Fall 2022 Tractor Supply Co. Paper Clover Campaign! The campaign will run October 5th - 16th. We encourage you to have a booth at the store one Saturday, or work with store managers to have additional 4-H signage near the registers. Click here to access the promotional toolkit provided by National 4-H. Also, check out these frequently asked questions, provided by National 4-H.

FAQ-

Remind me again, what do these funds go to?

  1. Scholarship for camp or 4-H leadership activities/programs.

How much goes back to the state it’s raised in?

  1. 90%, 10% stays with Council. Funds raised in YOUR county go back to YOUR county!

What about online donations?

  1. You can donate online with purchase.  However, these funds cannot be tracked to the individual store, only the state.

Where do the paper clovers they hang up in the stores come from?  Do we need to do anything for that?

  1. Nope – TSC takes care of all that and ships them to the store in advance of the campaign.
