The Texas 4-H Youth Development Program greatly values the project learning experiences that take place at the local level, helping youth increase knowledge of a specific topic while building leadership and life skills. In order to further support such project experiences, 12 different Explore Project Books have been developed. These can be used not only by County Extension Agents, but volunteers and older youth when leading and implementing project learning experiences.
Attached is a promotional piece that highlights the 12 books that are currently available, as well as additional books to be developed and released some time in 2017. In addition to six lessons, each book also contains an evaluation instrument that can be used to ascertain knowledge gained and support in-depth program plans.
We hope you find these Explore Project Books to be useful in equipping volunteers and enhancing the project experiences for youth. And, we welcome your feedback as we continue to develop 4-H youth development resources.
Thanks for all you do for Texas 4-H!
