2020 County Fair Sheep and Goat Shows schedule in reminders

We start move in on Tuesday at 4 pm and not before.  I will not be hanging any sheep and goat 
pen assignments till that time.

Schedule for the Sheep and Goat Shows for the week. 

County Fair 
Grounds Open………………………………………….…..4:00PM
=Penning assignments will be hung not before then.  We are not penning any breeding goats, breeding sheep, dairy goats or wether does in the pens.
=NO CAMPING UNDER THE AWNING PLEASE.  There is 6 plugs on the back side of the awning and room for trim stands for goats and lambs.  Also there is room near the heifer/steer door for the big fitting chutes. Plan accordingly and have your campouts setup outside. The New sides of the barns were not built for camping under but for adding more space for projects. 

Middle Arena

REMINDER – Animals are to be shown in natural conformation and color. Grooming materials leaving any kind of residue are not permitted FOR ALL BREEDING AND WETHER DOE SHOWS.

We will be showing Breeding Boer Does first. To date we have 9 Breeding Boer Does.
We will have them all come into the prep area and they will get toothed for age to divide into classes.
Class Order is – 
Showmanship
Seniors, intermediated, juniors and then pee wee. 
Classes
a. Doe Kid* Kids(milk tooth only) must have milk teeth or shown breaking of skin  or eruption of either of two permanent teeth.
b. Yearling Doe** Yearlings (two tooth) must show only the first pair of permanent incisors (front teeth). 
c. Four Tooth Doe*** 
b. Aged Doe *** Aged (four tooth or more) must have two pair of permanent incisors or more to compete.

Breeding Sheep Show – We will 30 entries for the Breeding sheep show
At check in you will confirm breed division 
Age Classes with in breed –

b. Yearling Lamb** Yearlings (two tooth) must show only the first pair of permanent incisors (front teeth). 
c. Four - Six Tooth Ewe*** 
b. Aged Ewe *** Aged (four tooth or more) must have two pair of permanent incisors or more to compete.

Breed Show order will be – It takes 5 to make a breed division.
     Southdown
     Dorper
     Fine Wool Cross
     Medium Wool Breeds
Once Breed is loaded into prep area – you will be toothed for age and placed in class section

WETHER DOE SHOW – WE HAVE 13 ENTERED THIS YEAR
=All does must be taken to the official scales for official weigh in on the day of arrival. No weight cards will be turned in.
=Does must weigh a minimum of 50 pounds and there is no maximum. Only does may be shown. At the time of show, does must not possess more than their first set of yearling teeth.
= Hair may not exceed 1 ¼ inches above the hocks and knees. The hair will be measured at weigh in with a ruler. Blow & Show ONLY! No painting, adhesives, powdering, or artificial coloring is allowed.
= Classes within each division will be broken by weight. Additional classes in each age division may be added at the discretion of Show Management.
