Families of Kaufman County 4-H/FFA Livestock Programs. This June we will be conducting the
validations for the Fall Stock Show and Major Show steers on the dates below. Please pay attention to the guidelines as we
have put into motion procedures to keep you and your families safe during this
time of COVID-19. YOU NEEDED TO HAVE PURCHASED A TAG FROM YOUR 4-h AGENT OR FFA ADVISOR BEFORE PARTICIPATING. IF IN DOUBT CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR OR AGENT.
1. DATES OF THE VALIDATIONS
a. Tuesday, June 23rd –
Cattle Only
i. - 6 pm – Risinger Vet assigned times
b. Wednesday, June 24th –
Kaufman FFA MEMBERS Only
i. Steers, Heifers, Market Goats, Market
Lambs
c. Thursday, June 25th –
i. 7 am – Mabank FFA Steers &
Heifers Only
ii. 9 am – All others by assigned times
for Steers & Heifer
iii. 11 am – All Others Market Goats and Market
Lambs
d. Friday, June 26th –
i. 4 pm – County Fair Grounds
1. Anything NOT done already – LAST
CHANCE!!
2. New this year we will have portable corrals
and chute for cattle projects
2. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
a. Pen to use for signing papers
i. We will have some pens there if you
forget
b.
Parent and Child (young
adult) needs to be present
c. IF Validating a Heifer, MUST have TWO (2) Good
Color copies of the registration.
d. Heifers – Please have your money or
check for the validation ready. When it
is time to unload ONE (1) representative will come with paperwork in with the
heifer.
i. Checks to be made to – 4-H Council Fund
e. All Other Validations – One (1) representative
will come with paperwork in with the project.
3. ON ARRIVAL
a. You will be greeted at the entrance or in the
parking lot and checked for your assigned time that you signed up for.
b. Your validation papers will be given
to you. Please check all information and sign on all places for your forms.
c. Please bring your own PPE mask to the
validation for the individual designated to get out of vehicle with project.
d. When asked to pull forward all family
members please stay in the vehicle. Only
One-Two people need to depart with project(s).
e. Everyone stays in vehicles; and when
out of the vehicle respect the 6’ social distance rules.
4. Sign Up for times to arrive on each
validation day(s)
a. Please send to your families or you
fill out.
ii. FFA Advisors if you are hauling your
chapter in please sign up your slots.
