This summer in June is the Validation for the fall shows (State Fair and Heart O Texas) for Goats, Sheep, and Heifers and for the 2024-2025 Major Steer shows, we will be hosting those validations on the dates below. These are the only dates the committee has due to my June camp schedule.
June 17th – 6 pm – Showgrounds – GOATS AND LAMBS ONLY
June 18th – 6:30 pm- Risinger Vet Clinic – HEIFERS AND STEERS ONLY
June 25th – *****8 am**** - Mabank FFA Barn - HEIFERS AND STEERS ONLY
Registration papers for ALL PROJECTS that will be validated for the shows to show as a breeding project will HAVE TO BE PRESENT AND IN ORIGINAL FORM at the time of validation. NO TRANSFERS OR ONLINE copies will be excepted.
ALSO....
They have made a change to the heifer validation ownership/validation deadline. Heifers must be solely owned and registered as such by October 31, 2024. This is a change from the previous November 1 deadline. Though just one day difference, this will better align with other species validation deadlines. Please make this note in your reminders, rules, and updates for heifer exhibitor families. This does not change any dates for the Fall validation coming up in June. The deadline for that validation is still June 30.
