Summer Camping Fun


District ULTRA Leadership Camp 2012
This year’s District Leadership Camp will be held on June 26-28th, at TAMU-Commerce. This year we will be having a program filled 2.5 days of fun and excitement!! Which include participating in the Low and High ROPES course!! Hold the dates and look for more information to come!!!
Multi County Camp – July 2012
Planning for the Multi County Camp in Lone Star, Texas is once again started.  This year a full three days of fun are centered on the Theme – “4-H – Proud to be an American”.  Come have fun with 4-H’ers from 6 other District IV counties.  4-H’ers from 8 in 3rd Grade to 18 has fun at the Lake front camp. Registration is $100.00 for 3 days and 2 nights of fun and activities.  Registration extended to  June 11th

Summer Camps
Texas 4-H Center Youth Programs will provide your child with the chance to develop character, learn valuable life skills, make new friends, and discover new interests. Finding the right camp for your child is as important as helping them find the right college! Annually, five or more sessions are offered each summer for youth age 9 (or completed 2nd grade) to age 18, 4-H membership is NOT required for most camps. The 4-H Center is accredited by American Camp Association. Summer camp registrations begins March 1st.

MASH Camp, June 27-29- for youth interested in the medical field, athletic training, safety and health fields.
Horizons, July 3-7! - New for 2012. This is a project focused camp(Robotics, Culinary Arts, Natural Resources, Dog Project, Leadership, clothing & Textiles) for youth who have completed grades 4-8.
County Camp I , July 9-11–Summer camp for youth who have completed 2nd grade through eleventh grade.
County Camp II, July 11-14- Summer camp for youth who have completed 2nd grade through eleventh grade.
Prime Time I, July 22-25- Session I is for youth who have completed grades 5-8.
Prime Time II, July 25-28- Session II is  for youth who have completed grades 2-5.
Mission Possible, July 23-25 – An Inclusive camp for youth with and without disabilities.
Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge June 30-July 1st
The Texas 4-H Outdoor challenge is scheduled for June 30 to July 1 at the Texas 4-H Conference Center in Brownwood.  Registration is open on 4-H connect for all contestants and will close on June 15th. In addition, to contestant registration, there will also be an option for non-contestants to reserve lodging and meals.

2012 Texas Brigades
Each camp is unique, but you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about deer, quail, bass, and waterfowl.  You will study anatomy, biology, habitat management, population dynamics, conservation, watershed management, and more. In addition to a heaping dose of ecology, you will study photography, art, entomology, botany, fly-tying, firearm safety, and leadership skills.
