If you have not done so already please call in your name and dish category and name of the dish. Some of you have turned in recipes and Katie did an excellent job working up those nutritional break downs. If you did not receive an email from me on Thursday please email me. I was trying to send from the stock show.
I will be send some Hints and Tips about prepping for Saturday. If you have questions please contact me. But below we will
County Food Show Interview Prep
Presentation.
All contestants should prepare an oral presentation. Each contestant will start with a maximum three-minute presentation to introduce themselves and their dish. You should describe your inspiration in choosing your recipe and how it relates to the theme, "Bringing Texas to the Table".
a. Clover Kids & Juniors – Introduce yourself to the judges and will then be interviewed.
Clover Kids: 30 seconds to one minute.
Juniors: 1 minute to 2 minutes
b. Intermediates & Seniors- Presentation
Each contestant will start with a maximum three-minute presentation to introduce themselves and their dish, and may describe briefly their inspiration in choosing that dish, or their experience in 4-H and the Food and Nutrition Project.
Intermediates: 2 minutes to 3 minutes.
Seniors: three-minutes
In this time, participants should introduce themselves and their dish, and describe their inspiration in choosing that dish and how it relates to current theme. Participants may also include their experience in 4‐H and the Food and Nutrition Project. Do not spend the entire time giving the recipe. Include only challenging parts of the preparation, experimentation with recipes, etc.
