November 4-H Council Meeting Minutes

The monthly meeting of the Kaufman county 4-H club was held on November 7, 2011 pm at the Texas Agri-life extension office in Kaufman. Catlyn called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Pledges were led by Jacob, Quentin, and Megan. Roll call was answered by "What are you thankful for?” by 11 members, 2 adults. The reading of the minutes from the last meeting on October 3, 2011 were moved and seconded by, Nathan and Mackenzie.
Under officer reports, treasure Mackenzie reported a balance being $770.40 with no expenses for the month. The district council rep Cassie reported that the next meeting will be on December 5, 2011. Next the advisor to the council gave the reminders for the upcoming activities.
Next the president called for club reports.
-Scurry-Rosser- Meeting the 3rd at 7pm
-Kaufman 4-H- No representitives
-Silver Spurs Horse Club- Next meeting cancelled. Trail Ride on the 6th.
-The County Liners 4-H- Had a speaker on chickens, Chrismas party on the 15th
-Beef Club- Had a quality counts program done last month
-Ruminants Unlimited- Show and tell last month and Catlyn Wold will be teaching a clinic at their next meeting.
-Lone Star Goat Club- Showmanship clinic last month, clipping and shaving next month
-Outdoor Rec Project Club- Setting up their schedule
There was no reports of Committees or Unfinished business.
Under new business we discussed our community service projects (Canned food collection, History Day, and a Golfing Tournament)
Recreation officer Jacob led the group in two games.
The next meeting will be held on December 5, 2011 and at the Texas Agri-life Extention office in Kaufman. Nathan moved to adjourn the meeting, motion passed.
